Field Service Coordinator -Contract Position.

The Field Service Coordinator (FSC) supports the Engineering / Field Service team(s) by performing a variety of critical
administrative tasks and coordination activities related to field service proposals, contracts, and project execution.
What you will do:
The FSC will interact and communicate regularly with internal teams and external customers (e.g. clients, subcontractors, vendors) to perform and support the following responsibilities:
- Receive and log all incoming field service requests, using available databases/tools, sent by external customers or indirectly from internal engineering and/or contract administration teams.
- Lead and/or assist in preparing and finalizing field service quotes, proposals and contracts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop work scopes and quotes, and compile proposal documentation.
- Draft estimates and quote letters for review and submission.
- Create and track purchase orders as required for subcontracted field service support.
- Receive and acknowledge customer communications, inquiries and issues; redirect issues to appropriate staff for action.
- Support field service scheduling, progress tracking and monitoring.
- Ensure all related project documentation is collected and in order so that all subsequent invoicing related activities can be completed, as required.
- Manage and update all related tools, databases and documentation related to the field service project lifecycle.
- Travel, occasionally, to supplier and customer locations.
- Other administrative duties as assigned.
What you will need:
- Undergraduate degree or advanced level College diploma in engineering, business administration, or project management.
- Proven experience in coordination, administration, or support roles, preferably within an engineering, or technical environment.
- Familiarity reviewing commercial / technical terms and conditions is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to create, edit and format professional level correspondence and presentations.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Teams. Experience with Microsoft Project is a plus.
- Experience using business systems (e.g. ERP) and productivity tools (e.g. SmartSheet) is a plus.
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage time on multiple simultaneous projects and deliverables.

Electrical Panel Builder
The Electrical Panel Builder will work under the general supervision of the Electrical Shop Supervisor and will support the activities of the Electrical Shop Department by wiring electrical panels for Safety Critical Electrical Control systems, PLC’s, Hydraulic Power Units and Operator Control Stations.
About the job:
- Wire Electrical Panels for Safety Critical Electrical Control Systems, PLC’s, Hydraulic Power Units and Operator Control Stations.
- Travel occasionally to equipment fabrication vendors for final wiring.
- Work in a collaborative environment in close association with HEI Engineering staff at the Toronto office to wire panels for integrated custom engineered equipment.
- Troubleshoot panels and circuits.
- Use various hand tools safely, as well as electric/battery and pneumatic powered tools.
- Provide constructive feedback to designers on Electrical Schematic drawings and documentation.
- Support all customer needs with a matter of urgency for speedy resolution.
- Conduct all activities in compliance with the ISO system and procedures.
- Maintain all systems in compliance with company Intellectual Property rules and guidelines.
- Follow and apply safety guidelines and rules as per the Company polices.
- Must wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment as required.
- Perform occasional overtime work, as required.
- Undertake other duties and responsibilities as required by the supervisor and/or designate.
About you/qualifications:
- Licensed Electrician.
- Understanding of Electrical Panel Building for Control Technology.
- Able to read and interpret Electrical schematics and other technical drawings.
- Strong wiring competence in complex Electrical PLC and Control Panel Stations.
- Basic mechanical skills.
- Sound critical thinking skills.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize work.
- Exceptional organization skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written in the English language.
- Able to work independently to complete tasks as assigned as well as collaboratively.
- Possess a valid Ontario Driver’s license and own transportation for business travel.
- A valid forklift certification is an asset.

Electrical Designer
The Electrical Designer will be working as part of a team to create detailed design of control systems for replenishment-at-sea transfer systems and the development of application software for integrated custom-built equipment for customers all around the world. The Electrical Designer will be involved with all aspects of the project life-cycle including project scope definition, bidding, design, manufacturing support, assembly, field service, to customer support after delivery of equipment. The field service work involves equipment audits, installation support, commissioning and troubleshooting. The work supports progressing to a fully qualified Professional Engineer.
What you will do:
• Perform detailed design of control systems, including single line diagrams, electrical
schematics, bill of materials and specifications for electrical equipment builds.
• Develop application software, including PLC program and operator interfaces (HMI).
• Select electrical system components such as motors, variable speed drives, transformers,
joysticks, contactors, analogue and digital sensors, etc.
• Work in a project environment in close association with electrical and mechanical design
engineers to produce integrated custom-built equipment.
• Participate in equipment start-up and commissioning at customer sites in Canada and
around the world.
• Provide field service support, including site inspections and service contracts at customer
sites or remotely.
• Generate and review equipment documentation including operating and maintenance
manuals, safety compliance reports, electrical schematics, test procedures and
specifications.
• Travel to customer sites within Canada and internationally.
What you will need:
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a program with electrical focused
specialty.
• Completed courses in power systems, control system theory and electrical machines.

Quality Assurance Inspector
We have an opening for a Quality Assurance Inspector. This role might be for you if you have a strong technical background in quality control and inspection of large machinery and precision machined parts to tight tolerances. The Quality Assurance Inspector will work under the general supervision of the Manager, Quality Assurance. The Quality Assurance Inspector supports the activities of the Quality Assurance Department for supplier quality documentation verification and validation and quality control and inspection of supplier fabrication activities.
About the day-to-day responsibilities:
- Visit suppliers to conduct mechanical inspections of equipment. Oversee the verification and inspections of welded fabrications, machined parts, and forging components of various sizes.
- Measure product dimensions, examining functionality of products and comparing final products to see if standards are met.
- Look through drawings, blueprints, and specifications to understand the design requirements of products.
- Document inspection findings and complete detailed reports and performance records.
- Interact with engineering and manufacturing groups to find best resolutions for critical discrepancies as applicable.
- Generate inspection reports after inspections as required.
- Review supplier quality documentation for completeness and accuracy to engineering drawings and purchasing requirements.
About you / qualifications:
- University or College level technical education or apprenticeship in trade related to manufacturing, steel fabrication processes or production of machining operations.
- Apprenticeship, trade or inspection/design experience related to manufacturing – manual or CNC machining, millwright or fabrication / welding processes.
- Strong technical background in quality control and inspection of large machinery and precision machined parts to tight tolerances.
- Able to read assembly drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Experience with dimensional inspections of precision machined steel components.
- Experience using inspection instruments.
- Experience in the machining or millwright trades is an asset.
- Practical working knowledge of ISO 9001 compliant Quality Management Systems.
- Working knowledge of ASTM & CSA Material Standards, ASME Inspection Standards, CWB Welding Standards.
- Proficient in using Word, Excel, Outlook, MRP systems, SharePoint, CAD systems.
- Strong command of the English language, both verbal and written, and strong communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail; ability to prioritize and manage time on multiple projects.
- Strong organization skills.
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively with others.
- Able to lift or move items weighing up to 30 lbs.
- Have a valid driver’s license and own transportation for local / regional travel.
